Extended Partnerships

Ongoing Operational Support for Growing Businesses

Is an Extended Partnership Right for You?

This works best when:

  • You need consistent help with ongoing operational tasks without scoping individual projects each time

  • You're in a growth phase and need a reliable operations partner who knows your business

  • You want predictable monthly support that focuses on what matters most

  • You need someone who can think three steps ahead and catch issues before they become fires

You might prefer project work if:

  • You have a single, well-defined initiative with a clear endpoint

  • You want to tackle one specific problem and move on

  • You're not ready for a monthly commitment or ongoing relationship

Your business has multiple moving parts - ongoing projects, team members to coordinate, systems that need attention, and regular business initiatives that all compete for your limited time and energy.

You need consistent operational support, not just one-time project help. You need someone who understands your business well enough to anticipate problems, maintain momentum when you're pulled in different directions, and keep things running smoothly without constant oversight.

What it looks like to be Working with Sky

With Essential Partnership,
a typical month looks like:

Week 1:

  • Strategic call - we decide this month's focus is documenting your client onboarding process

  • I send you a quick questionnaire to gather initial details about your current flow

Week 2:

  • I map out your existing process by reviewing your emails, contracts, and talking through your typical client journey

  • I identify gaps and inefficiencies (you're manually sending the same info 3x, contract signing happens too late, unclear handoff between sales and fulfillment)

  • I send you a draft process map via email for your feedback

Week 3:

  • You review and confirm the process map is accurate with a few notes

  • I create the formal SOP document with step-by-step instructions, templates, and a visual workflow diagram

  • I also build you a simple checklist in your project management tool to ensure nothing gets missed

Week 4:

  • Final SOP delivered with implementation notes

  • Quick async check-in: I answer your questions about rolling it out to your team

  • Progress update email summarizing what we accomplished and suggesting next month's focus (maybe automating parts of this new onboarding process?)

Total involvement from you: ~2-3 hours for the month (one 60-minute call + 1-2 hours of async review/feedback)

You now have a documented, repeatable onboarding process instead of winging it every time - and you barely had to think about it.

With Growth Partnership,
a typical month looks like:

Week 1:

  • Bi-weekly strategic call - we select three focus areas: automating your inquiry-to-client workflow, coordinating your Q1 program launch, and auditing your current project management system

  • I start mapping your current inquiry process and identifying automation opportunities

Week 2:

  • I've built the automation workflow and shared it for your review

  • Meanwhile, I'm managing launch timeline - coordinating with your designer on deliverable deadlines, scheduling your email sequence, tracking task completion

  • I complete the PM system audit and send you preliminary findings via Slack

Week 3:

  • Second bi-weekly call - review automation tweaks, address launch bottlenecks, discuss PM system recommendations

  • You approve the automation; I implement it and create training documentation

  • Launch coordination continues - I'm proactively following up with your team, updating timelines, flagging potential delays

Week 4:

  • Final launch week - I'm in daily communication ensuring everything stays on track

  • Automation is live with documentation delivered

  • PM system recommendations finalized with implementation roadmap for next month

Total involvement from you: ~4-5 hours for the month (two strategic calls + quick async responses throughout)

You have three major operational initiatives moving forward simultaneously while you stay focused on client delivery and business development.

What Happens When You Need More?

If your ONE focus area needs more than 10 hours (Essential):

We'll discuss either:

  • Purchasing additional hours at $85/hour to complete it this month

  • Splitting it across two months

  • Upgrading to Growth tier if you consistently need more capacity

If your THREE focus areas need more than 20 hours (Growth):

We'll discuss:

  • Purchasing additional hours at $75/hour

  • Reducing to two focus areas for the month

  • Creating a custom package if you consistently need 25+ hours

I'll always flag when we're approaching your monthly allocation so there are no surprises.

Partnership Evolution: How Clients Typically Grow

Most clients don’t start at Growth and stay there forever. Your needs shift with your business seasons, and the partnership should too.

Common Patterns:

  • Start with Essential focusing on one foundational system build or documentation project for 3-4 months

  • Scale to Growth during busy seasons (launches, expansion, team growth) when you need multiple things handled simultaneously

  • Scale back to Essential during slower periods when you only need maintenance on one area

  • Pause temporarily during vacations, sabbaticals, or business pivots (with 30-day notice)

The goal isn't to lock you into the highest tier - it's to right-size support for what your business actually needs right now. Your business has seasons. Your operational support should flex with them.

What’s Included in Every Partnership

Strategic Planning Sessions

Regular check-ins to align on priorities, review progress, and select your focus area(s) for the upcoming period.

Essential: Monthly (60 minutes)
Growth: Bi-weekly (60 minutes)

Complete Documentation

Everything I do is documented - processes, decisions, systems, workflows. You maintain knowledge and capability long after our partnership ends.

Direct Access

Communicate via your preferred method - email, Slack, project management tools.

Essential: 24-48 hour response time
Growth: Same-day response for urgent matters

Flexible Monthly Focus

Your priorities shift. Some months you need system setup, others need documentation or launch support. You choose your focus area(s) based on what's most important right now.

Transparent Hour Tracking

You'll receive a monthly summary showing exactly where your hours went and how much capacity was used. Full transparency, no surprises.

Proactive Problem-Solving (Growth)

I don't just execute - I flag potential issues before they become fires, suggest process improvements, and think three steps ahead.

Partnership Terms

Commitment

Month-to-month with 30-day cancellation notice. When you sign up, you're committing to at least two months (your first month plus the 30-day notice period). After that, full flexibility to cancel, adjust tiers, or upgrade anytime.

Payment

Monthly payment in advance on the 1st of each month. Auto-renews until 30-day written notice is received.

Additional Hours

If we're approaching your monthly allocation, we'll discuss options before proceeding:

  • Purchase additional hours to complete current focus area

  • Split work across two months

  • Upgrade to the next tier if you consistently need more capacity

I never exceed estimated hours without your explicit approval.

Getting Started

Most clients are onboarded and working together within 2 weeks of initial consultation. I typically work with 2-4 partnership clients, pending tier, at a time to ensure quality support and availability.

Flexibility

Need to pause for a month? Traveling and need lighter support? Let me know 30 days ahead, or as soon as you can- life happens- and we can adjust. The goal is a partnership that works for your actual business rhythm, not a rigid contract.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade with 30-day notice. Many clients start with Essential and upgrade to Growth when they have multiple concurrent needs, or shift between tiers based on busy vs. slower seasons.

The goal is making sure you have the support you need - nothing more, nothing less.

  • The monthly rate is for your chosen focus area plus strategic planning and support - not a strict hour-by-hour accounting.

Your focus area might take 8 hours one month and 12 the next. As long as we stay within a reasonable range (~8-12 hours for Essential, ~17-23 hours for Growth), the monthly rate stays the same.

If you're consistently using only 5-6 hours per month, we should discuss whether Essential still makes sense or if project-based work might be a better fit.

If we're regularly exceeding your tier's capacity, we'll talk about upgrading or adding hours as needed.

  • We'll have a proactive conversation about upgrading to the next tier or creating a custom package.

If you're regularly hitting 16+ hours on Essential, Growth becomes the better value. If you're maxing out Growth every month, we might need a custom arrangement or you may be ready to bring operations in-house.

I'll always flag when an upgrade makes financial sense - I'd rather you get the right level of support than constantly pay overage rates.

  • I document all time spent on your work using time-tracking software and provide a detailed monthly summary with each invoice.

You'll always know where your hours went (what tasks, which focus areas) and how much capacity was used. Full transparency.

  • Generally no - we commit to focus areas at the beginning of each month during our strategic call. This protects both of us from scope creep and ensures we actually complete what we start.

However, if there's a genuine business emergency (unexpected opportunity, urgent problem), we can discuss adjusting. But this should be the exception, not the norm.

  • Yes, with 30-day notice.

If you need to pause for vacation, slow season, business pivot, or any other reason, just let me know ahead of time. We can suspend service for a month (or longer) and resume when you're ready.

Your business has seasons - a good partnership will accommodate that.

  • I work with clients across various industries and maintain strict confidentiality. Everything we do together stays confidential.

I won't work with direct competitors simultaneously. If you have concerns about conflict of interest, we'll discuss during the consultation.

  • You have a 2-week trial period at the start of our partnership. If either of us feels it's not working during those first two weeks, we can part ways with no hard feelings and no penalty. After the trial period, standard 30-day cancellation notice applies. I want you to stay because the work is valuable and the partnership is productive - not because you're locked into a contract.

  • You'll need to be available for our regular check-in calls (30-60 minutes monthly or bi-weekly) and occasional questions throughout the month as they arise.

    Beyond that, I handle execution.

The entire point is to take work OFF your plate, not add to it. If the partnership is adding stress instead of reducing it, we're doing something wrong.

  • Let's talk about it! The menu represents common needs, but if you have something unique, we can discuss whether it fits within your tier or needs to be scoped separately.

Some things genuinely fall outside partnership scope and are better suited for project work - I'll be honest about that.
