Here’s exactly what the process looks like.
Most people pick software based on a demo and a gut feeling.
This is what it looks like when someone actually does the work first.
The Project Journey
-
You share what you need your system to do. Sky audits your current setup, identifies what's working and what isn't, and builds a detailed requirements table capturing every must-have, nice-to-have, and dealbreaker. You review and refine it together until it's ready to put in front of a vendor.
-
Sky takes your requirements to the market. Up to five vendors are identified, demos are conducted, and all vendor communications are managed. Every option is pressure tested against your requirements table. You stay informed without being burdened.
-
Sky presents the full findings, walks you through the recommendation, and explains the reasoning behind it. You make the final call knowing it's backed by real data. Your Phase 4 implementation estimate is delivered here so there are no surprises before you commit to go-live.
-
Full implementation and go-live. Migration off an existing tool is included in scope and reflected in the hour estimate delivered in Phase 3. No surprises.
Solo operators / small operations: $100/hour
Multi-location or multi-team operations: $150/hour
The Investment
Phases 1-3 run approximately 6-10 weeks, starting at $3,500.
Phase 4 will be billed at $100-$150/hr, and an estimate provided in Phase 3.
Final investment for Phases 1-3 confirmed after an initial 30-minute call once scope is understood.
The Work, On the Record
Every engagement produces a clear paper trail.
You always know what was research, what was decided, and why.
-
Built during Phase 1. Every must-have, nice-to-have, and dealbreaker documented and refined together. The foundation everything else is built on.
-
Delivered at Phase 3. Full findings across all evaluated vendors — how each performed against your requirements, what stood out, what didn't.
-
Delivered at Phase 3. Sky's recommendation with full reasoning. The decision is yours... this is the data behind it.
-
Delivered at Phase 3. Hour estimate for go-live so you know exactly what to expect before committing to Phase 4.
-
Delivered at close of Phase 4. Documents what was built, how it was configured, and what you need to know to run it going forward.
